Project Overview

Alludo, formerly Corel Corporation, is a software company based in Ottawa, Canada, specializing in creative and productivity products. With over 30 different titles on offer, including Parallels, WinZip, WordPerfect, VideoStudio, MindManager and CorelDRAW, Alludo provides a vast range of valuable products for everyday work. These products are widely recognized for their intuitive interfaces and powerful tools that assist users in creating innovative designs and working more efficiently.

I have provided freelance work to the Creative Services team as a contractor on an ongoing basis from December 2018 - April 2024.

The Work

Working with Alludo, I had the chance to work on various brands and took the lead in updating Parallels 19’s brand and establishing brand guidelines. My role included organizing and laying out content for both Parallels' corporate brand and sub-brands. Additionally, I wrote most of the copy for the guide's 'Design Elements' section. I worked collaboratively with Alludo's creative directors, marketing managers, and designers to ensure that each section of the guide had the necessary assets and was completed on time.

I have provided crucial support to the creative directors and designers in developing and updating product branding, impactful advertisements, promotional materials, and online presence to boost campaigns and product launches. This includes brand guides, logos, web banners, product imagery, icons, infographics, paid media ads, email newsletters, blogs, datasheets, ebooks, presentation decks and packaging. With my eye for layout design, I’ve also built templates for their marketing materials to keep everything cohesive within each brand/product.

I also collaborated on a few print-based projects, including packaging, product info sheets, large-format banners and booths for products such as Corel, Parallels, and their sub-brands.
